What Leaves is and who it's for
Leaves (by LeavesMC) is a Paper fork that restores vanilla behaviour Paper changes for performance or anti-exploit reasons, which matters to technical and redstone players. It also adds features such as fake players for technical setups. It is a different project from Leaf, despite the similar name.
Leaves files on MCJarHub currently come from the mcjars.app community mirror and are labelled as such; the official source is the LeavesMC website and GitHub.

How to set up a Leaves server
Steps for the latest version (1.21.11); every version page has its own exact commands.
- Install Java 21 or newer (e.g. Eclipse Temurin) and check it with
java -version. - Download the Leaves jar into an empty folder.
- Start it once with the script below; it creates
eula.txtand stops. - Set
eula=trueineula.txtto accept the Minecraft EULA, then start again. Players join on port25565. - Put plugins (.jar) into
plugins/and restart.
