About MCJarHub

Updated · MCJarHub

MCJarHub is a neutral index of Minecraft server software: every download states where the file really comes from, shows its checksum, and explains how to run that exact version. It launched in 2026, shows no ads and sells nothing.

Who runs MCJarHub

MCJarHub is run by a small team of Minecraft server administrators and developers. You can reach us at [email protected].

Why it exists

Getting the right server jar is surprisingly messy: official download pages are spread over a dozen projects, older versions are hard to find, and many "jar download" sites don't say where their files come from. MCJarHub puts 23 server types and 2,826 versions in one place, and for each download it tells you three things you can check yourself:

  • Where the file comes from — the project's official server, or a community mirror labelled as such (full source list).
  • Its checksum — published by the upstream where available, otherwise computed by us (how to verify).
  • How to run that exact version — the Java version it needs, the right setup steps (installer, launcher, BuildTools or plain jar) and a start script.

How it is funded

MCJarHub shows no ads, sets no tracking cookies and has no paid features. It is funded by the people who run it. The JSON API is free to use; attribution is appreciated.

Where the data comes from

Version lists and file locations are synced automatically from the projects' own APIs — Mojang's version manifest, PaperMC's build API, the Purpur API, Fabric and Quilt meta, the Forge and NeoForge maven repositories, and GitHub releases. For projects without a stable official download URL we use mcjars.app, an open-source aggregator whose data and mirror we credit here and label on every affected page. CraftBukkit mirror files come from GetBukkit. Changelog links point to the Minecraft Wiki. Every change is recorded in the public sync log.

What MCJarHub is not

MCJarHub is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, PaperMC, SpigotMC or any other project listed here, and it does not host or modify their files. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
