Minecraft Bedrock Dedicated Server
Updated · MCJarHub
Phone, console and Windows Bedrock players need a Bedrock server, not a Java server jar. Mojang publishes the official Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS) as a zip for Windows and Ubuntu Linux on minecraft.net.
Download the official server
Mojang publishes Bedrock Dedicated Server on its own download page, with separate zips for Windows and Ubuntu Linux (and a preview build for testing upcoming versions). MCJarHub does not mirror it — always get it from Mojang:

Downloading it means accepting the Minecraft EULA and Mojang's privacy policy, as stated on that page.
Java server vs Bedrock server
| Java Edition server | Bedrock Dedicated Server | |
|---|---|---|
| Players on | PC Java Edition | Phones, tablets, consoles, Windows Bedrock |
| File | server.jar (needs Java) | zip with a native bedrock_server program |
| Default port | TCP 25565 | UDP 19132 (IPv4) |
| Plugins / mods | via Paper, Fabric, Forge… | behaviour packs / add-ons |
Set it up
- Unzip the download into an empty folder.
- Edit
server.properties(server name, game mode, difficulty,allow-list) and, if you enable the allow-list, add players toallowlist.json. - Windows: run
bedrock_server.exe. Linux: runLD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./bedrock_serverin that folder. - Open UDP port 19132 in your firewall/router so players outside your network can connect.
Alternatives with plugins
If you want a plugin API on Bedrock, look at PocketMine-MP (PHP) or PowerNukkitX (Java-based). For Java and Bedrock players on one server, run a Paper server with the GeyserMC plugin.
