What Arclight is and who it's for

Arclight is a hybrid server that implements the Bukkit API on top of Forge, NeoForge or Fabric using Mixin, so mods and Bukkit/Spigot plugins can run together.

The build id of each Arclight file (for example 1.0.6-SNAPSHOT-…-forge) shows which loader it targets. Files here come from the mcjars.app community mirror and are labelled; official releases are on the Arclight GitHub. As with every hybrid, test your plugins with your modpack first.

How to set up a Arclight server

Steps for the latest version (26.1.2); every version page has its own exact commands.

  1. Install Java 25 or newer (e.g. Eclipse Temurin) and check it with java -version.
  2. Download the Arclight jar into an empty folder.
  3. Start it once with the script below; it creates eula.txt and stops.
  4. Set eula=true in eula.txt to accept the Minecraft EULA, then start again. Players join on port 25565.
  5. Put plugins (.jar) into plugins/ and restart.
